The Client Status category allows the user to specify a list of client statuses, abbreviations, and options.
Client Status - The name or title of the status.
Active - Indicates if changing the client to this status should make the client Active or Inactive
Temp Client - If selected, indicates a temporary status, preventing any payments to/from that client.
Event Triggered - The combo box is populated with custom buttons created through the Button Setup screen (only buttons with numbers 101 or greater can be added to an event). This allows spe cific documents to print when a specific client status is selected on the Client screen.
Abbreviation - Displays in red letters on the Client screen.
ACH - If the ACH option is selected for a particular client status, all clients set to that status will have the option of using the ACH functionality. When a client’s status is changed from an ACH enabled status such as Active to a non ACH enabled status, the ACH functionality is disabled. When a client’s status is changed from a non ACH enabled status to an ACH enabled status; the ACH functionality is automatically enabled.
Credit Card - Similar to ACH above but for Credit Cards. Enables or disabled Credit Card functionality when setting the client to this status.
Bill Pay - If the Bill Pay option is selected for a particular client status, all clients set to that status will have the option of using the Bill Pay functionality. When opening the Bill Pay Batch screen, clients are only selected if their current status is one that has the Active & Bill Pay options selected. The exception is that if clients do not have a status set, they are included in the Bill Pay Batch as there is no way to determine if they are set up for Bill Pay or not.
Show Upon Export - If selected, the specified status can be selected when exporting leads to clients, if the preference Choose New Client Status in the Client section is selected.
Fore Color - Specifies the color of the text for the Client Status
Back Color - Specifies the color of the box for the Client Status
Is Web Active - If selected, when switching the Client Status to the status if the client has a web account the account will be activated, if not selected the account will be deactivated.
Turn Off ACH on NSF - If selected, when an receipt is marked NSF for a client the ACH will be turned automatically regardless of the NSF Reason.
Is Bankruptcy Status - When a user changes the Bankruptcy Date for a client they will be prompted to change the status to this status. 26924
Make Selected Entry the Default - If selected, the selected client status is the default client status. When new clients are added to the database, their initial status will be set as the default status.
Web User Search Visibility - When web user login is used, requires a user license, this option indicates whether the status is visible or not, and if visible if it is checked by default in the search screen.
The Client Admin Status is a second status field that can be used by a different department (for example Accounting or Legal) or as a sub-status of the Client Status.
