Working with Task Hours

The Hours tab is used to track both billable and non-billable work hours.

 

Start Date - Specifies the estimated start date.

Completion Date - Specifies the estimated completion date.

(Estimated) Non-Billable Hours - Specifies the estimated non-billable hours required to complete the task.

(Estimated) Billable Hours - Specifies the estimated billable hours required to complete the task.

(Actual) Non-Billable Hours - Specifies the actual non-billable hours required to complete the task.

(Actual) Hours Billed - Specifies the actual billable hours required to complete the task.

Billing Approval - If selected, the task has been approved for billing.

 

Adding Hours

  1. Click Add on the Hours Tab

  2. Click Start - the timer will begin

  3. Click Details to enter notes for hours in the description field

  4. Click Stop - the timer will stop and hours/minutes will be updated

User ID - Specifies the ID of the user that worked on the task.

Hours - Specifies the number of hours the user worked on the item.

Minutes - Specifies the number of minutes the user worked on the item.

Description - Provides a brief description of the work details.

Billing Status - Specifies whether time spent working on the task was billable or non-billable.

Timer Start/Stop - Begins/ends the timer utility that is used to track time spent working on an item. When activated, this utility automatically populates the hours and minutes accumulated.

Details (Button) - Expands and retracts the Hours table to show or hide additional fields (i.e. Description).

 

 

Deleting Hours

  1. Select the row you wish to delete

  2. Press Delete on keyboard

  3. Click OK to confirm
